We are so lucky to live where we do and we feel even luckier to be able to offer people the opportunity to come and visit a lovely part of the country while staying with us at Dormers. Phil and I have lived in Dorset for decades and explored so much of it and yet probably barely scratched the surface.
There was an article last month in the Daily Echo where ‘Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove both appear in the list of the top 15 beauty spots outside of London’. Both these locations are just 20 minutes’ drive from Dormers.
Bournemouth beach also comes in at number 5 on the Top 25 Beaches in Europe in Trip Advisors Travellers Choice 2018. There really is so much to see and do here in Dorset. Although I would argue you can visit the beach in any weather, summer of course is a special time to visit.
With Easter falling early this year we are all looking to Spring and thinking optimistically for a Summer filled with sunshine! This year we are hosting our annual Easter egg hunt and egg decorating competition with the family. We are also going to make carrot patch brownies this year for the grandchildren to enjoy. Here is the link in case you fancy attempting these too: Carrot Patch Brownies
There are some great events on locally over the Easter holidays starting with Easter at Lulworth: ‘It’s back! This Easter come ‘down the rabbit hole’ for some great family fun at Lulworth Castle. Join us every day from Friday 30 March to Monday 2 April between 10.30-5pm.’ Follow this link to book your tickets: Easter and Lulworth
And for the adults Bournemouth are hosting the 9th Annual Big Bournemouth Beer Festival at the BIC! ‘There’s something for everyone at this year’s festival with a huge range of traditional real ales complimented by a range of novelty and seasonal beers, plus the ever popular cider and perry bar and a wine bar. Food and bar snacks will also be available to purchase.’
Have a very happy Easter from us at Dormers.
